WLAN QA Engineer
Job Description: Seeking a QA engineer to work on the the VisualRF module, which is an add-on to the AirWave Wireless Management Suite that provides a real-time picture of the actual radio environment of your wireless network. VisualRF is a browser-based application that makes your wireless network visible. Using real-time data and RF prediction methods, VisualRF calculates WLAN coverage and mobile user & rogue AP location and displays it on top of floor plans that you import.
Requirements:
Background or strong coursework in wireless communication, WLAN architecture, network administration of WLAN deployments
Strong understanding of 802.11 standards and RF propagation basics are required
prior experience with wireless networks, access points and Network Management Solution
Experience in Linux, SQL or networking protocols like SNMP or TFTP would be a plus
Personality Traits:
Excellent work ethics, dependable, and responsible
Must be a flexible self-starter who can ramp up with new technologies quickly and can adapt to a growing and evolving team.
Ability to set up and maintain a QA lab of linux-based servers and wireless devices. Must be comfortable working on the CLI.
Imaginative, motivated, and able to work effectively under pressure.
Strong logical and creative problem-solving skills, good oral and written communication skills, and excellent analytical skills.
Must be able to succeed with minimal resources and minimal supervision
